MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS - PAROLE BOARD MEMBER

LANSING, MI - APRIL 2017-April 2021

The Director of the Michigan Department of Corrections appointed me to the Michigan Parole Board in April of 2017. I serve on the ten-member parole board panel, which is the sole paroling authority for felony offenders committed to the jurisdiction of the Michigan Department of Corrections. My duties consist of deciding whether to grant parole by examining if there is a reasonable assurance that potential parable inmates can adjust well in the community. In this capacity, I am responsible for reading and voting up to one hundred fifty cases per week. The Board also acts in an advisory capacity to the Governor for all executive clemency matters.

 

Wayne County Sheriff’s Department - Project Consultant

Detroit, MI - November 2016-April 2017 

Iserved as an appointee of the Wayne County Sheriff. Responsibilities included conducting background checks on applicants for the Wayne County Sheriff's office. 

 

Southfield Public Schools – Paraprofessional

Southfield, MI - August 2013-November 2016

Attended to children with special needs in an effort to enhance their academic and sensory development. Duties also included inputting computerized/manual Medicaid billing and generating lesson plans.
